DEXMART Justine: Robot Coffeemaker

Who doesn’t like coffee? I have yet to meet someone who doesn’t like the taste and aroma of coffee. My sister for one is addicted to it. She could gulp down 5 cups of Starbucks coffee a day, that is, when she has lots of money. She has a coffeemaker at home but she’s always lazy and asks her husband to prepare her a cup. So perhaps a robot that can brew and serve coffee will be perfect for her.

Bruno Sicilano, a University of Naples professor, is currently working on a multi-million Dollar project called the DEXMART. Justine, a coffee-making robot is one output that features hands that can mimic human dexterity.

Also: Justine is equipped with sensors and can be conscious with the surroundings. Sicilano’s project is still not finished, so we can be hopeful that he will come up with some more great ideas for Justines hand movement - and we can bid our maids goodbye soon.
