“I’m not a machine” might soon become the most redundant excuse at work. When was the last time you got a headache with someone pestering you to take those oh-so-many wonder drugs? Well, what if that someone is a Robot? Are you crazy, you might say! Well to your surprise this so-called craziness might well become the way of life one day.
Scientists at Tokyo University are well on their way to making those “pill’arized nightmares come true, with their newly developed robotic nurse. No kidding! This one is programmed to follow you with your medical prescriptions, warning you each time you forget to take one of those not-so-likeable tablets.
As if that’s not it, scientists and politicians across Britain are all up already for preserving the rights of robots! Funny as it may seem, you might just be competing with a robot the next time you hurry to apply for that last minute federal grant!
So outsourcing to humans in India and China might not be the only thing you’re going to be concerned about! Suck up to your bosses and save all those pennies, you don’t know when you may be replaced by this wonder-being!
If all goes well in their favor, the much known proverb might soon sound something like “An apple a day keeps the ROBOT away. (NiRa)
